Zine Making
Crimson Tea Productions
Crimson Tea Productions is proud to present this zine making workshop!
Hosted by Hartlee (he/vi) and Hunter (they/them), the workshop functions as both an introduction to zine making and a chance for experienced zine makers to have some no-stress zine fun.
There will be options for collaborative and individual work, as well as prompt-based and free-form zine making. If you need some extra help, Hartlee and Hunter are happy to give it - or to let you solo glide!
No pressure, no judgement, no experience needed!
If you need any accessibility aids, such as headphones/ear defenders, AAC device, pen grips etc. then please feel free to bring them! Hartlee himself will have ear defenders, a rollator, and an AAC device he may use. Everyone is welcome and safe with us.

We’ll demonstrate bead loom techniques
using standard coloured beads and thread. Attendees can follow one of our pre-set patterns, or go totally wild with their own designs, to create a
simple bracelet to take home.

What is an Omamori?
An omamori is a traditional Japanese lucky charm.
They’re commonly found at shrines and temples and their purpose is to bring good luck, protection, or encouragement.
What is the Workshop?
Learn how to make your own traditional Japanese omamori (lucky charm) in this fun 45-minute workshop.
Cat will guide you through sewing and assembling your charm, and you’ll also receive a traditional omikuji fortune slip to take home, alongside your handmade omamori.
All materials are provided, and beginners are welcome. If you need a hand with sewing or assembling your omamori, assistance will be available throughout the workshop.
